If you want a lovely, cruising yacht, you must see this very nice example of Des Townson’s design at his best. A classic Townson design – pretty, practical and fast (easily driven), up or downwind. At a great price and set up for short-handed sailing.  Powered by Perkins 4108 diesel 47HP(1350 hours) with shaft driven 2-bladed folding prop, which pushes her along at a genuine 8 knots at 2500 RPM.

Current owners of four years have replaced the mainsail (fully battened with lazy jacks) and furling headsail.  Sail wardrobe includes spare main and furling headsail, #3 headsail and spinnaker.  Cockpit and decks fibreglassed, windows replaced, with full exterior repaint in 2016.  Spinnaker pole stored on deck.

6 Andersen self-tailing winches – 4 of them 2-speed – plus 2 halyard winches on the mast.  Standing rigging upgraded.

Engine maintenance has included new starter motor, alternator, start and house batteries and switches alongside annual maintenance. 80 litre diesel tank.

Wheel steering with emergency tiller.  Navigation equipment includes Simrad depth, tablet with GPS software, pedestal compass.  Panasonic VHF, Fusion radio (ipod and Bluetooth compatible).

240 litres fresh water in two tanks, with foot pumps in the galley and head.  Salt water foot pump in the galley.  Flavell 2-burner stove with oven and grill.  Gas bottle in ventilated aft locker.  Large freezer runs off engine driven compressor.

Ground tackle includes Manson plow anchor with chain and warp, unused Danforth spare anchor with chain and warp.  Simpson Lawrence rope/chain anchor winch.

Accommodation – sleeps 6  – two quarter berths aft, two settee berths in the saloon, double “v” berth forward.
