Howard Chapelle Design Traditionally Built Schooner for sale (ONET)
An opportunity to own an eye catching and recently built traditional Schooner with a lifting centre plate.
This Schooner has been fastidiously built by a real shipwright using traditional marine timbers of Kauri, Teak, Iroko, Pohutukawa and Oregon. From the drawing board of Howard Chapelle she has been faithfully created by John Gladden and others. Gaff schooner rig is sensible and easy to use. Sail areas are small and easy to handle. She has a forward pivoted centreboard, operated from above decks. She is powered by a 60hp Nissan and cruises easily at 5-7 knots, with wheel steering with Autohelm to assist. She makes a statement wherever she is anchored and comes with a Mahurangi mooring at Scott’s Landing.
