Designing and building a luxury Ocean-going yacht is a very personal matter. Every owner has his own ideas about what will be ideal for him. This Nordia Cruiser is therefore designed and built as an individual project.  However, the following features are always integrated.
The hull lines below the waterline are flowingly stretched and together with the moderate fin keel/rudder-with-skeg configuration this results in excellent course stability. To achieve a smooth entry into the waves and a mild overall behaviour, even in rough seas, a 20°  bow-waterline-incidence angle has been applied.
Because of the seawater resistant aluminium hull construction, the displacement is moderate and with a high aspect ratio rigging, carrying 6m² of working sail per 1 ton displacement, a high speed under sail is granted, even in light wind conditions. With a propulsion power of at least 3 kW (4 Hp) per 1 ton displacement, the ship will already reach a comfortable cruising speed under low engine revolutions, resulting in dramatic reductions of engine sound and fuel consumption.
