A robust and really well equipped Blue Water Cruising Yacht – Steel with a semi long keel and proven passage maker.
Taurus was built by the renowned German wharf Feltz (Karl u. Peter Feltz Bootswerft, Hamburg) in 1980, very well kept, spacious and comfortable and was extended from originally 11.60m to 12.00m. Feltz Skorpion yachts are designed mainly for bluewater cruising and are well known for their ideal hull thickness, strength and speed. The semi long keel and slim design makes the yacht very course stable, ideal for steering with wind vane and autopilot. The engine located in the keel is an integral part of the ballast, making her comparatively light to other steel yachts and helping to make the living space quite spacious. The hull design with its high freeboard and sharp stem allows the yacht to sail very dry and stable in all situations.
The centre cockpit is large, with a central table, with covers and clears providing shelter from sun and spray, and below is a generous sized double berth, good sized saloon, a passage way to the aft cabin, which has two single berths and plenty of storagE.
