GRP Timber skin composite
West system, a timber and epoxy cold moulded construction system. Timber used is mahogany and Douglas fir to produce a strong but reasonably lightweight boat. The exterior is finished with glass mat and epoxy. Further reinforcement is provided by laminated longitudinal and transverse floors, which are deep in the keel area. The floors tie in with the frames, which then tie in with the deck beams forming ring frames through the length of the boat. Bulkheads as well as parts of the internal fit out provide additional reinforcement. Water tight collision bulkheads are fitted fore and aft.
The white hull topsides have been painted using Awl grip paint system, oyster white. Hull below the waterline
